|14 JUN 2010| Martial Arts Association (MAA), IKA USA promoter, has finally secured a venue for the first ever IKA sanctioned professional kickboxing event in the United States. The show kicks off in Las Vegas on October 30, 2010 at Planet Hollywood Resort Casino. It will be held at the Theater for the Performing Arts that boasts 7,000 seating capacity, and is fitted with hi-end technical equipment for that kind of spectacle. The venue has good history hosting breathtaking sporting events, such as boxing and MMA. The promotion will run with 5 professional bouts under low kicks rules, with IKA world title fight as the main event. Both IKA and MAA are in the process of building up fight card, negotiating with world’s top class kickboxers, middleweight to super heavyweight, holding notable records. MAA chose not to pack its first card with dozen of fights, five 3-minute rounds each, which apparently make it too long and tedious. Instead, what MAA will be bringing is 5-fight show, with just standup hard-hitting action. MAA is currently working on the lineup, and is looking to hear from professional fighters and promoters who want to take part in the electrifying kickboxing battles. If you feel you have what it takes to be IKA fighter, do not hesitate to contact IKA by e-mailing us with your details and video links info@ikaskickboxing.com. Alternatively, you can contact MAA directly by calling +1 (702) 543-1036 or e-mail info@maafights.com

Formal agreement has been signed between International Kickboxing Association and Martial Arts Association (MAA), a Nevada corporation with its principal office in Las Vegas. In 2010 MAA will be promoting two or three professional kickboxing shows. No details are available at this time as MAA are mapping out first IKA sanctioned show with at least 4 pro bouts on the maincard and IKA World title fight as the key match. Most of the fights will be under IKA full contact rules with low kicks, most spectacular version of our sport. With lineup still up in the air, IKA and MAA are accepting enquiries from kickboxers who wish to be on the show.
