|28 NOV 2008| IKAS International welcome new member and representative for Iran Mr. Khorasani who has joined the International Kickboxing Association recently. Mr. Khorasani started his activity in a very diligent and ambitious way orchestrating his first IKAS regional elimination tournament held on Nov 14 in one of the biggest cities Mashad, Khorasani county. Naser Khorasani and his team did much work setting up those amazing combats with over 50 fights where most talented athletes strived to win to continue their fight career and compete on further large-scale kickboxing events. All fights were under amateur kickboxing rules with low kicks and saw many electrifying knock downs and knock outs with all contestants left full of physical and mental satisfaction and unforgettable experience. Mr. Khorasani intends to continue this first event with a bigger tournament featuring fighters of at least 4 counties of Iran which will then be followed by more challenging national competitions where winners from the previous event will take one on one in tough return fights to name just few true national kickboxing champions in several weight classes. We here at the IKAS congratulate Mr. Khorasani on this very successful and promising start and will support him in all of his efforts.

|13 SEP 2008| IKAS President Oleg Vadaturskiy has had a meeting with old friend and now IKAS partner Mr. Michael Fowles of England, UK. Michael is truly regarded as No.1 Kickboxing Expert who knows the sport as his own skin. The two raised the matter of return fight for current IKAS European Flyweight Champion Andrey Samozhikov of Russia who won the title in the exciting full contact bout versus Barry Lock of England back in December 2007. To remind, the rematch was supposed to take place in 4 months of the initial fight but was put off for organizational reasons. Oleg Vadaturskiy asked Mr. Fowles to intervene and use his connections for the rematch to happen on the next available date, in England this time, where Andrey will be challenged to defend his IKAS title at the cheers of English sport lovers and we strongly believe he will. Michael in turn promised to the help the return fight forward leaving all of us here at the IKAS anticipating a special brawl shortly. More importantly, Mr. Fowles disclosed his personal ideas to support IKAS growth and secure several co-promotion opportunities through third-party world kickboxing promoters. IKAS President thanked Michael Fowles for his support and confirmed to go the same way working with Mr. Fowles in making kickboxing one of the most challenging and promising sports ever.

|26 AUG 2008| Introducing new IKAS USA promoter. MAA, Inc was granted IKAS license to organize and promote kickboxing events on the territory of the United States of America. The company boasts to be preparing for large-scale events with first brawls to be held in the beginning of 2009. According to the MAA, the audience will see tough hard-hitting action fights that will be even more exciting than today’s top attraction UFC. Kickboxing originated in the United States and was very challenging and top-notch sport entertainment all over the country. MAA promoters promise to resurrect kickboxing as one of the most spectacular sports. MAA will stage their first IKAS sanctioned event under the promising title ‘TEAM USA vs. THE WORLD’. The fight card will include strongest kickboxers of the United States to collide with best of the best fighters of the world. We here at the IKAS will strongly support this initiative and help MAA accomplish their exciting vision.

|1 June 2008| May 27, IKAS President Oleg Vadaturskiy travelled to Amsterdam, Netherlands by the invitation of IKAS Netherlands representative Mr. Orlando Gemerts. Mr. Vadaturskiy was accompanied by NLK general manager Mr. Kirill Kudaev. The main purpose of the visit was to negotiate a series of thrilling kickboxing events to be sanctioned by the International Kickboxing Association and held later this year. Other participants of the meeting were 4-time K1 Heavyweight Champion Ernesto Hoost and Netherlands based promoter Mr. Heino Heiwegen who has been in sports and entertainment for years.
Mr. Orlando Gemerts and Mr. Ernesto Hoost invited the guests to see their training camp and allowed to witness one of their daily training sessions for top European martial artists Paul Slowinski and two-time IKAS champion Randall Halden. Today these fighters are standing on the top level of world kickboxing and their skills and experience are mastered under supervision of devoted coaches Ernesto Hoost and Orlando Gemerts.
Kickboxing is the Netherlands is growing steady and fast thanks to such people who built a strong team and apply professional approach to the sport of kickboxing. Their training is hard and perfect which helps Netherlands raised fighters expose excellent performance on fight arenas all around the world.

|21 FEB 2008| A kickboxing show was held in Moscow, Russia. Special guest was American champion kickboxer and actor Don 'The Dragon' Wilson. Other guest was Genereal Director of the PASSPORT magizne Mr George Voloshin. IKAS President Mr Oleg Vadatursky held conversation with Mr Wilson and Mr Voloshin in which they discussed today's kickboxing and possible things that can be done to make the sport of kickboxing the unified discipline recognized in the whole world. Don Wilson wil mostly likely visit IKAS forthcoming events to be put up by the IP Group later this year.

|23 DEC 2007| IKAS Russia event was held in Abakan city to proclaim the IKAS Flyweight European champion. The event was organized by IKAS Vice-president Mr Oleg Deryabin in partnership with IKAS associates Mr Vyacheslav Lapaukh and Mr Alexander Beryozkin. The show was attended by IKAS President Mr Oleg Vadaturskiy and IKAS partner Michael Fowles of the UK. The show started with a warm-up kickboxing bout with low kicks which cheered the audience. The main event featured Barry Lock of England, UK and Andrey Samozhikov of Russia. You all know that the British martial arts school makes high class boxing combined with street style fighting. The Russian school mainly focuses on concentration and discipline which helps fighters land tough and accented punches and kicks. The bout started in close-fight manner initiated by Barry Lock and supported by his opponent. Fighters were exchanging close punches and kicks for the first 4 rounds. Round 5 saw Barry a little tired which helped Andrey make the turning-point of the bout. In round 6, Barry missed a severe kick in his liver. It’s KO! What’s was left for Andrey Samozhikov to do is to put on his belt of the IKAS professional champion of Europe. In an after-match interview, Barry Lock said he wanted a rematch in the United Kingdom to give it another try. Let’s wait and see.
